[glow=blue,2,000]Was thinking we should make a list of songs of what would make a cool soundtrack for our RPGs here. My TF RPG, Rainy's BW RPG and Hoist's EF RPG.
Remember, no talk of Downloads or DL links here or anywhere on this board. Its a TOS Violation could get us in trouble or worse. Not to mention you.
First off, The Tea Party, Canadian band, has a new song out called 'Writings on the Wall', very cool. I'd put that on a soundtrack for sure.[/glow]

Okay, first of all, are we talking about the original transformers? Cos if we are, I think The Time Machine by Klaus Badelt would be a great music spot for describing Cybertron, and perhaps even just before they take off on the Ark (unaware of the Decepticons' prescence) in search for energy. I also like the idea of adding some of Danny Elfman in there. He's famous for Spiderman, Sleepy Hollow, and Batman. But I also like the idea of Klaus Badelt and his style of percussion (listen to the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack and you'll know what I mean). John Williams would be great for heroic scenes (autobots coming to the rescue - Summon the Heroes comes to mind). John Williams would also be suitable for the Autobots' first exposure to Earth and its creatures and especially the scenery of trees, mountains, and water. I see this occuring in the main theme to Jurassic Park. If you want to put in a scene where the Autobots are preparing for battle, I suggest using "Engage" from Jerry Goldsmith's Star Trek: Nemesis, or for an actual battlescene, look into track 7 of Pirates of the Caribbean. This is my favorite track from this soundtrack (it's very, VERY powerful). If you're starting out in the very beginning with perhaps the Quintessons, look into the first two tracks of E.T. It's kind of haunting and sounds empty, putting in a kind of extra-terrestrial feel (duh). For the Dinobots, I suggest using the Ewok theme from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, or Treebeard's theme from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. For the Matrix theme, you might use the Patronus track from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, or I think it's track five from The Legend of Baggar Vance by Rachel Portman. If you're going to go into the Transformers Movie, use the main theme from The Goonies for the battle between Hot Rod and the Decepticons (or just use this theme for Hot Rod period, since it's got a fun and almost reckless beat to it. It also has a heroic tune that could forshadow the rise of Rodimus Prime). For Megatron's theme, use the second track from Spiderman. Also for the fight between Megatron and Optimus Prime in which Prime is defeated, you'll want something that collides into full blast, like warm air and cool air colliding to form a tornado. This fight is the tornado and you need something to represent both Prime and Megatron's powers. I suggest using "Revenge" from Spiderman or something from Pirates of the Caribbean again.
That's what I've thought of so far. I'll post more when I get more ideas.
