Just got myself a copy of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Very excited for what I expect will be a pretty heroic marathon this weekend . Anyone got any tips for classes, etc? Played through Skyrim yet? I can't really advise on Oblivion. I played it for maybe 25 hours, which with a TES game, that is just surface scratching. I couldn't get into the repetitive nature of Oblivion, mainly the Oblivion Gates. I've been playing the absolute crap out of Skyrim. 81 hours in, level 33. Been doing a lot of side quests. I've only gotten about 1/3 of the way through the main quest, but I've heard it's the least interesting. Probably going to tackle the DLC before I finish the main quest.

You're never going to believe this- three separate playthroughs, the same glitch with Odahviing stopped me finishing every time. Nearly broke my TV the third time XD What kind of character you playing? I basically just used a different LoTR character as a prompt every time I started XD

Luckily I found out that you can sort everything out my fast-travel. Neo, there's a bit of info here about glitches. Any of these help? I recently downloaded Crackdown and Dead Rising 2 on XBL. Played a bit of Crackdown, it's quite fun, but you can tell it's an old game. The controls are a bit...off. Not played any Dead Rising 2 yet.

Noe, in Skyrim I'm playing an Orc Vampire Warrior I pretty much contracted Vampirism the very first Vampire I came across. I focused on One-Handed dual wielding and Heavy Armor, but I just maxed out One-Handed so I'm leveling Two-Handed now.

Bought Saint's Row IV today. The last 2 games I played were Saint's Row 3 and Crackdown, it's really weird that I've gone from playing those two games to playing a game that is their secret love-child.
I've only played for about an hour or so, so I'm not too far in, but it's very fun so far. I've already reached the point where I've unlocked super-sprint, so now I don't really have much need for cars.

Skyrim, Skyrim, and guess what? More Skyrim.
Played through the Dawngaurd and Dragonborn DLC because I wanted to 1. Be able to transform into a Vamprie Lord and 2. Wanted to be able to ride a Dragon. Turns out the first one isn't that entertaining, and the second one is pretty lame, but I got some sweet shouts and loot from the DLC. Finishing up some side quests in Dragonbord before I head back to Skyrim proper and pick up where I left off. Still a lot of content left unturned.
Also, turns out I'm kind of a bad-but-good guy. Been doing the bidding of several Deadric Princes.

XD It kind of annoyed me that there's no alternative to those darker quests- joining the Vigilants of Stendarr or something along those lines. I know some of the Daedric quests allow you to cheat the system (Azura sticks out), but still, it just seems a little lazy after you've spent the whole last game showing how nasty the daedra are. :/ Gotta say, I'm loving Oblivion- I really prefer the plot, and the geography is more satisfying to travel around. I also think it gives you a bit of context- after playing it, I would certainly say I'd be more inclined to join the Legion in Skyrim then the Stormcloaks, plus I'd SPOILER ALERTDefinitely kill Paarthurnax when given the oppurtuntity. I'm a Blades brother now.

I'm a Blades broth er now. How many Ovlivion gates have you gone through? That's where the game gets repetitive. Possibly spoilerish ahead: Well, the Blades are hunted down to extinction by the Aldmeri Dominion who are basically in charge of the Empire in Skyrim. Can't really call the Empire from Oblivion the very same Empire from Skyrim. Even the few remaining Blades seems to be sided with the Stormcloaks.

Lost track of how long I've been playing Saint's Row IV today. It's a really fun game. There are a whole bunch of easter eggs that I've spotted as well. One outfit you can get is called Craft Miner, it's Steve from Minecraft with a green tinge to him. There's also one called Gentleman's dinner jacket (or something like that), and it's the bright orange tux that Jim Carrey wore in Dumb and Dumber. Possibly my favourite one is a there is a secret room in one of the shops, in there, you have pictures of all the development team and a small gun called Loud Locust. Yup, it's the Noisy Cricket from MIB.
Also love when you make your character, when you pick the voice, you have a choice of Male 1, 2 and 3, Female 1, 2 and 3 and then there is a 7th choice, Nolan North.

Still, as much as a slim shadow of it's former self as the empire is, the Stormcloaks are hardly a great alternative. Dictatorial, reactionary brutes, not to mention the fact the majority are straight-up racial supremacists. As wimpish as they've become in the face of the Dominion, I think I'd still go for the Legion. :/

They did just about lop my head off for no good reason. I actually just finished that line of quests today. It was kind of meh as far as quest-lines go, but I did like soem of the battles where enemies just kept coming until you beat so many. Not because they were hard, but because it was hilarious to watch as I summoned Dunerviir, who summoned his own 3 guys, on top of my follower Serana and my Steadfast Dwarven Sphere. Top that off with Volendrung and Auriel's Bow calling down the sun on my enemies, it made me feel like the most powerful being on the planet.

Yo! Saints row has Stan Bush on it. Guess what song? I may or may not have laughed and cheered at that point. Had a massive grin on my face when my character quoted Optimus as well.

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!
One of the early Deadric quests I did, before I realized there was an achievement attached to collecting them all, has ruined my day. I'll have to start another play through just to get that achievement if I wish to 100% Skyrim.

Ooof, man, that's rough! Watcha do, throw away one of the artifacts? Use the book? :/ Honestly, I've never been too bothered about 100% on a game. I look for narrative and enjoyment, personally, and I always find the overall payoff is never worth the detracted enjoyment you find in grafting to get that last 0.1%.
