So, Time of the Doctor- Matt Smith's last hours, the wrapping up of all those niggling plot points, the regeneration and Capaldi's debut. Personally, I'm growing tired of Moffat (Mickeleh just about sums up every part of my opinion HERE but what were people's thoughts?

I'd like to see your points vocalized and explained by you, rather than use a video personally.
The trouble with Moffatt is he's very hit and miss (As evident by both parts of series 7), as a single episode writer under RTD he was great but as the main writer it can be very hit and miss, but then the same can be said with RTD.

I enjoyed it and liked it although the pacing was a little off and all the Zygon stuff just came across as filler fluff. I didn't like that woman as Elizabeth I, but Tennant and Smith were great as usual and had chemistry, good to see "Rose" or rather "The moment" there and Venessa Redgrave was good. Liked all the doctors being featured via holograms at the council and had a small gasp with a fleeting flash of Capaldi However: Spoiler SPOILER Had a huge major gasp when I heard Tom Baker's voice! As soon as I heard it, even before seeing it my jaw hit the ground! I did kinda hear that he has let it slip before hand unfortunately, (Bad Tom!), but then you never know if he was telling the truth or helping keep a lie anyway so I still had a jaw drop moment when I heard, then saw him. I was literally saying at the TV (When Hurt started to regenerate) - Don't cut, don't cut! Just in-case Eccleston did put in an appearance. Overall it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible and I still enjoyed it thoroughly. I feel the same as it wasn't great but not terrible either. I can't say I was super impressed. I feel that there could of been more done with DT and MS. I mean these two guys have the talent, the chemistry and the energy to make the ultimate DW episodes and I feel there time together could of been better. More running about, more trying to navigate the Tardis, more banter and bickering and more running away! I can't say I liked John Hurt either. Ok I get it, he's a serious Doctor or not a Doctor, but I didn't feel he was a Doctor at all. No wit, no energy, no quirkiness. Even CE had some of the crazy in him and he was a moody Doctor. And speaking of CE I think his absence really affected things. I can see him in the role JH played. As for what I did like, I think you nailed it for me Hoist.

First Image of the 12th Doctor in Costume
I love it!! Frickin' bad ass! Some think he looks like the 3rd Doctor but I think he looks more like the first!! And BTW, speaking of one looks like what, I've had some passing thoughts on some of today's actors who can play certain Doctors. Patrick Stewart: First Doctor (I know David Bradley play's William Hartnell in 'An Adventure in Space and Time' but I think he looks too rugged.) Benedict Cumberbatch: Forth Doctor Martin Freeman: 7th Doctor (Tom Hiddleston kinda of looks like Sylvester McCoy IMO but he's too tall)

I don't think Hurt nailed it at all. I wasn't convinced that his Doctor was at all a Doctor at anytime. I really just felt he was there because he was taking the role EC's Doctor should of been in.

Just found this: www.tickld.com/pic/t/673413Someone wondered what Doctor Who would be like if it was an American show and who would play each version of the Doctor. I don't know about the rest of you, but some of these would have been pretty cool to watch.

I don't know all of them, but God no - not Nic Cage, anyone but him. Gene Wilder and Vincent Price a definite yes! Not sure about Jeff Goldblum though, and as a Breaking Bad fan Cranston would be interesting! Walken would be very interesting!

Yeah, Nic Cage was a definite "Hell no!" moment. But Price, Wilder, Ford and Cranston would be interesting.

Walken's an interesting choice, love to see that. Goldblum made me raise an eyebrow, and Cage was a serious facepalm, but everything after that was pretty spot on. Rockwell's amazing, I can totally picture that
