Torque shifted his weight and took aim at one of the Seeker's advancing on Smokescreen. Torque squeezed the trigger. Through his scope, he saw the Seeker's left leg come off at the knee. Another shot went straight through the Seeker's neck.
+++Private COMM to Smokescreen+++ "Hurry, get to some cover. I'll cover you as best I can." +++Private COMM+++
A counter on Torque's HUD showed he had 2 shots left for his Sniper Rifle and another 8 shots for his Disruptor. He'd have to rely on hand to hand combat if things got any worse. Not something he was looking forward to.

Calculating the situation, Perceptor knew his fellow Autobots were in trouble. He'd have to risk getting shot or worse, to gain an advantage in this fight.
With that, he exposed just his upper half from the wall he was behind and with his rocket launcher, looked for the next best target. In the distance he saw two seekers advancing towards the Autobots. With out much more time to find a better target, Perceptor fired his last rocket at them.
Just as the rocket was released from his launcher, a large blast went off close to where Perceptor was and in front of him. The blast knocked him down from the force of it. As he recovered, Perceptor had to wait for his vision to stabilize before he could see. His internal systems began to register damage to his outer exterior, around his chest and arms. He felt his wounds with his hands and realized that he had caught the shrapnel from that explosion.
After a quick inspection, Perceptor knew he was lucky. The shrapnel did no serious damage expect for rupturing some minor circuits and small fuel lines. However, it was still extremely painful. [glow=red,2,]'Now I believe, I know how my old colleague Wheeljack felt when his experiments blew up in his face.'[/glow]
Perceptor wasn't able to tell if his rocket did the job. He couldn't make out the dead seekers that he saw as the two he fired at. With that, the Autobot scientist resumed the fight, with his back against the wall and firing at whatever target he could see while his light canon powered up.
Wormhole flew back on the ground as a Seeker flew into him, causing some minor damage to the exterior of him. Seeing the Seeker take off, he realized staying on the ground would be the more logical choice - even if he wanted to go get even. The next cycle, he realized that an explosion went off close to him which he felt it from where he was standing. Turning his head, he saw two things - Perceptor on the ground and the trail of smoke coming from a distance infront of him.
As he aimed his blaster, he noticed the two dead seekers on the ground roughly where the rocket had gone off. Running over to Perceptor, he dove to dodge incoming shots. Staying low, he looked up to Perceptor and laughed. Spinning from the wall, he aimed his blaster and fired a few shots catching a few in their sides, knocking them down. "How much more do we have to endure?"
Smokescreen crawled up from his position, it was days like these he was thankful he was thankful he had quite durable armour. He couldn't let Torque down however and ignored the request to get cover and transformed to his Cybertronian mode, racing over to his fellow Autobot. As he arrived he transformed back and began trying to pull Torque away, thumbing towards Perceptor that they should both get out of the area...

Highstacker opened his comm his hands to his mouth and called to his fellows. ++COMM++ "This is futile! We can't take out such a strong group, and there's more on the way! We need to make a break for it across the plains, and hope that our friends in AA-233 can drive off the 'cons!" ++END COMM++ Nexus heard this, and snorted with disdain. He leaped, somersaulted, and landed, still standing, on a seeker's shoulders. Digging his heels in, he twisted, snapping its neck and pulling it clean away from its body. He kicked away from the headless corpse, and leaped at his next vistim...
Torque heard Highstacker's message. It was then he spotted the bot. He also noticed a Seeker very close to him. Torque leapt from his cover and transformed. He floored it and drove straight towards the Seeker. Torque covered the distance in almost no time, he hit a large bump and went airbourne. Torque crashed into the Seeker and transformed back into his robot mode. He began wrestling with the Seeker. Torque's right hand was near the Seeker's face. He saw his opportunity and transformed his hand into a cutting torch and fired it up.
A jet of blue flame washed over the Seeker's face. The Seeker cried out in anger as the cutting torch shattered his optics. The Seeker let go of Torque and cradled his face.
"My optics! You'll pay for that Autobot scum!"
Torque reverted the cutting torch back into a hand and began pummeling the Seeker. He brought his knee up into the Seeker's chest and made him drop to his knees. Torque looked over at Highstacker. He reached over and grabbed one of his grenades as he turned his right hand into a welding torch. Torque worked fast and fused the grenade's casing to the back of the Seeker's head. Torque pulled the pin and grabbed Highstacker, activating his Ghost ability as he did.
Torque lead Highstacker to some safer ground. They reached some safer cover just as the Ghost effect wore off. Torque looked over at the blinded Seeker just in time to see it vanish in a cloud of fire and smoke. When the smoke cleared, Torque saw the Seeker fall to the floor, minus a head and a large portion of it's shoulders.
Torque let out a low whistle and looked at Highstacker.
"Wow, those things pack quite a punch. You ok? I think we need to regroup and make a tactical retreat. Need to word it better, make it sound more appealing to Nexus than 'running away'."

Highstacker shook his head. "Nexus... is the dumbest... smart person... I have ever met... and ever will meet... if I live to be... a million... no... a hundred million! I swear... I will actually...put that grenade back in his mouth... smiling... If I thought it would get him to come..."
With Torque running out of him to engage a seeker*, Smokescreen transformed back to his vehicle mode and headed back to Perceptor. WIthout his vocal units being repaired, the Autobot felt useless - unable to communicate with his fellow comrades. He reasoned that his best bet was to head back to Perceptor and stick with the others..
OOC: *Presumably, I take it "bot" was Smokescreen who was wildly ignored.
As if ignoring the laughter from Wormhole but not the statement, Perceptor replied, [glow=red,2,]'To quote the words of a Prime who's identity escapes me at the moment, "We are Autobots, we endure for how ever long the situation demands us to!"[/glow]
Perceptor then joined his friend in laying down as much fire as he could. Then his comlink spoke up.
++COMM++"This is futile! We can't take out such a strong group, and there's more on the way! We need to make a break for it across the plains, and hope that our friends in AA-233 can drive off the 'cons!"++END COMM++
[glow=red,2,]'Any other location would be better with the given circumstances. Let get ready to move but first, gather who we can so not to leave no Autobot behind!'[/glow]
Perceptor managed to catch Torque's actions on the field. He told Wormhole to wait until they saw that Torque was safe. Then Torque's voice came over the comlinks.
+++ COMM to all Autobots +++"We should take Highstacker's suggestion. We need to make a retreat. I'm out of ammo, we need to regroup, resupply and recharge."+++ End COMM +++
[glow=red,2,]'I believe we are ready with the exception of... Smokescreen!'[/glow] Perceptor saw the Autobot approaching himself and Wormhole. He laid down as much cover fire as he could as the Autobot approached. He knew Smokescreen had wanted to get out based on his friend 'thumbing' in a direction away from the Seekers. He just hoped they would get to the area Highstacker suggested in one piece.

Nexus dislocated a Seeker's shoulder, then used the severed limb to batter him to death. He turned to see the rest of the inferior bots in trouble. Not wanting to be picked up by the seekers, he simply activated his homing beacon, transformed, and, flying low, he made a break for the plains...
As Smokescreen arrived to Perceprtor and the others he had his arm stretche pointing out to the distance. As he came to a stop be began jabbing his arm in the air pointing towards Nexus in the distance who had high-tailed it away..
Torque dived out from behind cover and transformed into his vehicle mode. He had almost no offensive capabilities in this mode, but Torque had accounted for that. Having a flat-bed for an Alt-mode had it's advantages. Torque sped off and pulled up infront of Perceptor.
"Hop on! I'll drive, you shoot! Torque laughed.
